Creating Symbols of Social Justice Workshop
Teaching to the patterns we created for the quilts from our Another Country Quilt cycle, we lead students in a course on using visual symbolism to convey complex issues or thoughts. In the workshop the students work in small groups to create and define their own symbols which they present to their classmates. At the end of the workshop we assemble their creations into a large symbol quilt.
